Rule42@Home is my home store on Etsy.  My mom and I take old things and make them new in so many fun ways.  We also sell great finds that we come across in our hunts.

This was my Mother's Day gift for my mom.  She asked for an organizer for her many earrings.  She wanted something that would hold a lot.  

I absolutely love bringing in true elements of nature with these jewelry frames.  

The paper flowers added just the right amount of subtle (my kind of) bling.

And here it is on my mom's wall with only about 1/4 of the earrings she later loaded onto it.  Those are real branches from my Honey Locust tree in the backyard.  They work so perfectly for these kind of projects.

Wanderlust meets Santa Barbara style in a casual Southern California backyard reception

Atlas pinwheels, old globes, and vintage suitcases alongside gorgeous California succulents.

This Santa Barbara couple married in private ceremony on a secluded beach in their hometown then 

jet-set to Peru for the honeymoon of a lifetime, backpacking to Machu Picchu.

Their reception came after their return and followed their adventurous spirit.

A chocolate naked wedding cake with raspberry filling and burlap flowers nestled among succulent blossoms from the bride's own wedding bouquet.

Vintage atlas paper pinwheels custom made to match the reception colors spun in the breeze.  Lovely aged and out-dated globes and suitcases reveals this couple's love for seeing the world.

With a nod to the bride's love of good Central Coast wine and the groom's affection with craft beer, these mini succulent planter magnets made with wine and beer corks 

were a perfect take-away favor for their guests.

New Line of Rustic Wedding Signs by Rule42

Today my mom, Faith Peery of Reflections by Faith, and I had a fun photo shoot to launch our new line of rustic, naturally stained and hand-painted, wedding signs.  My lovely daughters, armed with their own little cameras, stood by my side and shot away at the lovely wedding scenes we arranged.  My sweet tween, got to model a bit, too.  She's always ready to help me out and be directed even in some unusually humid weather for Southern California.  It was a perfect overcast day for photographing and we just missed the rain that followed.  Here are the best shots from the day!
